Vasileios Pyrgiotis Appointed Vice-Chair of the COPA-COGECA Olive Oil Working Party

The Olive Oil Working Party of COPA COGECA has elected a new Chair, Olivier Nasles (FNSEA, France), while Vasileios Pyrgiotis, Head of GAIA Epicheirein’s Brussels office, has been reappointed as Vice-Chair.

The new leadership will face key challenges confronting the sector, including climate change, a difficult trade environment, and uncertainty around the EU budget.

Their objective is to actively promote dialogue between producers and institutional stakeholders to ensure the continuous supply of high-quality olive oil to both the EU and global markets.

GAIA Epicheirein expresses its strong support for Vasileios Pyrgiotis’s ongoing contribution to the Working Party, acknowledging his crucial role in defending and strengthening the position of Greek olive oil at the European level.
