The LIFE GAIA Sense project will develop and present the gaiasense system, an innovative smart farming solution that aims to reduce the impact of productive activity on natural resources, protect the environment and support circular economy models in farming, while taking into account resource efficiency in the primary sector. More specifically, it will highlight the way in which each producer should or should not use inputs (irrigation, fertiliser, pesticides, etc.) in the most effective manner for their crops and the environment.
The coordinator of LIFE GAIA Sense is GAIA EPICHEIREIN’s technological partner ΝEUROPUBLIC, which has also designed and developed the gaiasense smart farming system.
In the framework of the project, GAIA EPICHEIREIN shall provide support to pilot regions implementing the gaiasense system, and, more specifically, support for its implementation, assessment, and for feedback related to smart farming advice. GAIA EPICHEIREIN is also responsible of the project’s policy uptake and dissemination activities and shall organise training activities, thus taking part in the further development and improvement of the system.
