“Young Farmers and Generational Renewal: Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects.”
GAIA EPICHEIREIN, within the framework of the information and communication activities of the CAP4Youth project – “CAP for Young Farmers: Generational Renewal and Sustainable Agriculture in Greece”, which is implemented with the support of the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission (DG AGRI), organised a digital workshop entitled:
“Young Farmers and Generational Renewal: Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects.”
The digital workshop took place on Tuesday, 24 February, from 11:00 to 13:00.
The discussion was attended by:
- Nikos Pavlonasios, President of the Panhellenic Association of Young Farmers
- Dimitris Tsilias, Vice President of the Panhellenic Association of Young Farmers
The discussion was moderated by:
Giannis Sarros – Journalist, Ypaithros Chora
The discussion focused on the obstacles and challenges facing Greek agriculture, while also highlighting the opportunities available to farmers for the transition to a more sustainable agricultural model.
Particular emphasis was placed on:
- education and access to knowledge,
- the effective use of CAP instruments,
- the benefits arising from the adoption of modern technologies and innovative practices.
